Not a secret history of ABC Board decisions, this session brought together a pair of Australian producers making sitcoms in Kabul with a little known branch of the ABC for whom ‘Heart of Darkness’ could be a true story.

Ben Knight, senior reporter for ABC news, introduced the concept of the session bluntly to a scattering of producers who actually relish conflict. If you want to make programs in some of the most appalling places on the planet, there is a significant amount of money available to do it.
