Sound designer Johnnie Burn roams the set of The Favourite while it is empty, silent in his pink socks, catching the tiniest sound to transform and integrate. He puts his microphone up the chimney and finds the breeze drawn from floor to floor and grate to grate. Maybe the future Queen Elizabeth the First did the same when she was an unregarded child growing up in this same building.
