Bill Kerr was a fine actor with a wonderful sense of comedy, whose story is laced through the evolution of the medium. He first appeared in film in The Silence of Dean Maitland in 1934, and is surely our longest connection to the past. He worked with George Wallace in both Harmony Row and His Royal Highness.
