In a state which is close to bankrupt, due to its legislature failing to pass a budget for the last three months, lawmakers have nonetheless found time to take a swipe at NZ acting talent, passing legislation banning them from taking part in certain TVC work.

Up in state capital Sacramento, five committee votes and eight legislative analyses have finally come to fruition with the passing of a bill which makes it illegal to use public money to shoot foreign cows (in a filmic sense, we all know how much Americans – and not least the California state governor – feel about their guns).
