New Geelong cinema rises from voices on the street

Cinemas are central to our cultural life in public spaces, and they are evolving quickly at the hands of young, adventurous entrepreneurs. Here is one great example.

Take a pair of film tragics, an employment crisis for young people, a multiplex monolith and a beleaguered regional city, add a dash of serendipity, and we have some reasons to be cheerful about the state of our culture.
