After the success of last year’s tantalising Taste of the Tropics on SBS, application are now open for a second season!
Showcasing the unique delights of Tropical Queensland and the local farmers, cooks and cultures behind them, Taste of the Tropics commissions three teams from North and Far North Queensland to craft compelling factual episodes to be aired on SBS Food, Australia’s only free-to-air food channel.
Teams will receive up to $35,000 and support from a Supervising Producer to cook up their delectable 22-26 minute episode gaining valuable experience producing content for broadcast and earning the teams screen credits to build their careers. Post-production services will be provided by Cutting Edge.
Applications are encouraged from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as individuals from other under-represented backgrounds.
