Master of Design

What is a Master of Design?

A Master of Design encourages students to explore advanced design knowledge and studio practices to develop human-centred solutions to complex problems. Our Master of Design offers a variety of pathways and electives to choose from, allowing you to design your course to suit your career goals.

Throughout the course, you’ll extend your leadership skills, build your understanding of enterprise, and explore how innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship can change economies.

In the core subjects, you’ll develop your own skills and practices through the design of artefacts, systems, communications and services. Then delve into specialist areas of user-centered design, design methodologies, sustainability, design leadership, service design, and the role of design in driving social and economic innovation. Study face-to-face or online in our flexible learning environment, and complete your qualification faster if you already have a related undergraduate degree.

The advanced capstone studio project gives you an opportunity to consolidate your knowledge, skills and research capabilities into an innovative major design project that focuses on your own career aspirations.
