Diploma in Communication Extended - Screen Media (Arts and Production) (Bachelor Pathway)

You’re interested in the world around you. Want to use the screen to communicate what you see, hear and feel? This program gets you ready to do great things – at uni and beyond.

Communicate your way

Be prepared for a career in the media world of tomorrow. Learn about experimental and short film, documentary-making, transmedia concepts and digital journalism, sound technology, web and motion design, and television. Be introduced to contemporary thinking around cultural studies and society, popular culture, cinema studies, everyday urban life, the cultural and social impacts of scientific theories, new technologies and multiculturalism. When you successfully complete the 16-month diploma from The College, you’ll have one year credit and admission into the Bachelor of Screen Media (Arts & Production) at Western Sydney University. To apply, you don’t need an ATAR; all you need are ambition and the determination to work hard. Once you’re here, our mission is to make sure you have the supportive learning environment and flexibility you need to transform your life. That includes smaller class sizes with greater access to one-on-one teaching and support. Our Extended Diplomas also cover extra introductory subjects that will prepare you for success in your tertiary studies and beyond. At The College, we’re dedicated to your success. We know that if you’re given a supportive learning environment with a dedicated team of educators, anything is possible. Our wide range of pathway options include University Foundation Studies, Extended Diplomas and Integrated Diploma/Bachelor programs. Your success starts here.
