The 2021 Line up gives a huge warm welcome to high-energy roots music duo Hat Fitz and Cara, Scottish rockers Rich Davies and Claymore along with festival favourites back for our 18th birthday, Trouble in the Kitchen and The Maggie Carty Band – Irish craic to be sure!

Folk acts also appearing this year include the best in the scene: Songwriters and multi-instrumentalists The New Graces; Music Victoria Folk artist of the year Fiona Ross and Shane O’Mara; The country’s best young musicians musicians, Bo’Ness, Out of Hand and Quinn Hames along with awarding winning Pete Denahy. What a line-up of live music.

A full program for the young ones includes the Celtic Trail of Tales; a journey of discovery among the hills and hummocks of the Portarlington Celtic Festival Fairyland. Finally, one of Australia's most influential and iconic bands The Bushwackers, celebrating 50 years at this year’s festival in a big way.

Preference is given to artists and performers who align with our vision – to host a premier event of international and national significance that provides an authentic expression of Celtic culture across the Arts – music, song, dance, theatre, storytelling etc.

The festival encompasses both traditional and contemporary interpretations within the Australian Folk setting and supports the sustainability of the culture in a contemporary context.
