Sydney Film Festival announces 12 popular Festival films will get extra screenings at Dendy Cinemas in Newtown and Opera Quays between Monday 17 and Wednesday 19 June.
“Many of these films completely sold out their screenings. For those who missed out on tickets, or simply wish to re-visit these incredible cinematic works, these bonus sessions are a great chance to catch some of the most exciting films this year,” said Festival Director Nashen Moodley.
“Additional screenings include The Final Quarter, which received a standing ovation at its World Premiere at the State Theatre; Jim Jarmusch’s hilarious zombie film The Dead Don’t Die; Pedro Almodóvar’s Pain and Glory starring Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz; Best Screenplay winner at Cannes, Portrait of a Lady on Fire; rousing concert film Amazing Grace; and many more,” he said.
