⭐ ABOUT AFIN IFF:

AFIN International Film Festival celebrates and showcases excellence in filmmaking and storytelling from emerging and established filmmakers and screenwriters, from every corner of the globe.

Entries are selected and screened based on their artistic value, originality, globally distributable appeal, production values/quality, and narrative content. The festival includes screening nights in Brisbane, Australia which are attended by film makers and film lovers alike, and a formal red carpet awards night.

An open, and market orientated film industry event, AFIN supports innovation and exploration in film, and provides networking opportunities for local and international film makers, as well as selected opportunities with direct links with agents and distributors.

AFIN aims to aid in the development and encouragement of film makers regardless of nationality or experience level, and revels in supporting worldwide cultural exchange via cinematic experience.

We value, and seek to recognise films and screenplays which are engaging, thought provoking, and innovative; be that through concept originality, or exploring narrative, premise or style in a new way.

AFIN selects films which celebrate and execute high production values, but also understands that budget restraints can sometimes factor into technical production constraints, and takes this into consideration when making official selections.

🏆 AWARD WINNERS, NOMINEES, AND FINALISTS
https://gp2events.wixsite.com/afinfest

🌟 FINALISTS > NOMINEES > AWARD WINNERS (AND IMDB)

As we are IMDB-Qualifying, any project which reaches either NOMINEE or AWARD WINNER, can have their result listed.

FINALISTS can NOT have their results listed, as they were not nominated for an award, and they did not win. It is a final result which will receive a certificate for the achievement, and is certainly worth celebrating, but is not IMDB qualifying.

Finalist = Close to being nominated, no higher result possible for that project in that category (Not IMDB Qualifying – Final result for a project)

Nominee = Nominated for an award, and may win. If they do not win, they stay as a nominee (IMDB Qualifying)

Award Winner = Won the award and is changed from a Nominee (IMDB Qualifying)

When festival events have concluded and winners are revealed, the festival will do our best to assist IMDB results being listed. Please note, we do audit our results listings on IMDB for accuracy, and will request removal/correction for any incorrect entries.

We will advise of this IMDB project location and submission status to Award Winner and Nominee submitters soon after events have wrapped, along with any applicable laurels/certificates, and prizes.

If you are adding this listing yourself, please note to ensure you are adding the correct award and year, and choose only one of the following two options:
AWARD WINNER – Choose the Rank of “Winner (1)”
NOMINEE – Choose the Rank of “Nominated (nom)”

We only have award winners, nominees, and finalist placings in our festival, no semi-finalists, quarter-finalists, honourable mentions, or official selections.
