The three drama projects receiving money from the latest round of the Platinum Fund decisions all revisit actual events or people, a theme which spills over into one of the four documentary projects also funded.

Dramas Rage (the 1981 Springbok Tour) and Underbelly NZ (Mr Asia, the Marty Johnstone story) both open the door on serious historical events, while Billy (Billy T James), written by Briar Grace Smith, should offer some lighter entertainment along the way.
