Up stayed up, easily fighting off Jack Black, a bunch of guinea pigs and a bunch of aspiring thespians to complete a third straight week at the top. Fame’s opening in fourth spot does very little to help out MGM’s multi-billion dollar debt problems.

Dropping out of the top ten, District 9, now in its 7th week, sits at 12. It does over $72,000 off 29 screens for almost $2.375 million in total. Christine Jeff’s Sunshine Cleaning is the only other Kiwi-related top 20 rater at 19, taking more than $22,500 off 28 for almost $570,000.
