Writers on the Road 2004: WA State Literature Centre

Later this year, five writers will be selected to travel to various regions of Western Australia.

Funded by Country Arts WA and Healthway, one writer each will travel to the Kimberley, Newman and district, eastern Murchison, Ngaanyatjarra Lands (north of Warburton) and Manjimup to Walpole. Tours range in length from three days to a fortnight.

Sometimes they’ll fly, sometimes they’ll drive, but somehow or other they’ll get to their destinations and inspire and motivate kids and adults to get into books, writing, songwriting, playwriting or whatever’s their forte.
