Top Gear retains its number one place as SBS’s most popular current show, according to figures from OzTAM. Long Way Down continues to outperform its predecessor Long Way Round, averaging 396,000 viewers and appearing in the SBS Top 10 almost every week of the current series. Australian drama Carla Cametti, PD averaged 339,000 viewers over the series’ six episodes, improving SBS’s 2008 average for the Thursday 8.30pm slot by 65 per cent.

Saturday nights on SBS are sizzling with Iron Chef, Mythbusters, and Rockwiz attracting 363,000 viewers in their collective timeslot, an increase of 22 per cent from the 2008 average.
