Continuing to be an inspiration, doughtily independent documentary maker Mike Rubbo has been appointed by Queensland University of Technology’s School of Film and Television to teach postgraduates the art of documentary making.

A former head of ABC Television’s documentary unit, Professor Rubbo’s most recent documentary All About Olive was aired nationally on the ABC last month. It tells the story of 105 year old Olive Riley returning to her Broken Hill birthplace where she was born in 1899.
