Maxine McKew, one of the ABC’s best-known broadcasters, has announced that she is leaving the national broadcaster.
McKew has decided not to seek a new contract at the end of this year. She says she is taking time off to consider new challenges.
“This is more than likely the end of my broadcasting career. I’ve been luckier than most and over a thirty year stretch, the ABC has provided me with some golden opportunities,” McKew said today.
