With the various entrepeneurs trying to turn your mobile phone into a television, ABC Enterprises has done a deal to sell content into the UK and Ireland. Soon bored commuters on the 8.10 to Foggy Bottom may be giggling over Chris Lilley and ‘Bang the Cat’. Fortunately there are no Wiggles on the list to provoke strange dancing on a double decker bus.

ABC Enterprises, the commercial division of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), has appointed Mobile Streams to distribute its mobile content within the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The deal includes a range of programming from the ABC and from independent productions represented by ABC Enterprises including titles such as The Nominees, the hilarious mockumentary series in which comedian Chris Lilley plays five characters as they make their pitch in an annual public popularity contest for the Australian of the Year; Double the Fist (2004 Australian Film Institute Best Comedy), Bang the Cat an explosive comedy series; Larry Labrat, which follows the adventures of Larry and his life in a research facility; Eagle & Evans, a comedy duo sketch program and Africa – Boozin’ with Beasts, a wacky wildlife series.
