Let’s not get too carried away – there’s a long way to go in the equality stakes. Brindle Films won Best Series Documentary for Occupation: Native. Here is Trisha Morton-Thomas, one half of the company.

This year the Screen Forever Awards and party moved from the Casino to the Forum Cinema. Gone was the ghastly parade into the airless labyrinth of sad souls and fake gold past Ka-Ching Country, and in came a bracing walk along the river in the spring sun (fortunately).
