The new CEO and Artistic Director of the Adelaide film festival is Mathew Kesting, who has been program manager since 2015. Kesting brings thorough experience of programming for an Adelaide arthouse audience, and the use of location developed by predecessors Katrina Sedgwick and Amanda Duthie. I understand the post attracted a large number of applicants, with a rigorous multi-interview selection process. Sometimes our cultural passion for confidentiality is very annoying.
