Triggered by Shelly Palmer I have found some statistics about the 2017 spend by the big streaming services.  [We’ll keep these figures in US$].

They tell us something about the evolution of media which says that the future is definitely not what we expect. I will take a run through the numbers to give you a sense of scale, and then glue them into a conclusion.
