Box Office April 1 2019 – Fear in Hotel Mumbai, terror in Us

Australia is known to be a tough market for horror, but when it approves the cash comes like a massive hive of bees. You can hear the buzz for Us deep in the Tanami Desert.

Hotel Mumbai has now been released in the US. It ran a a limited weekend and went moderately wide in 924 theatres, ranked at number 8, to make $4.6m in ten days. That is an average of $4,800 per cinema. That is okay, and a while since an Australian film has done that business in the US.
