Box Office 8 April 2019: The American appeal of Hotel Mumbai

Hotel Mumbai does well in the US while latest tentpole steals audiences over here.

Hotel Mumbai has made $9m in the US in 17 days. In the first weekend of its wide release on a modest 924 screens at $5000/venue, it took $4.5m which slid to $2.54m this last weekend. It has also made $500,000 off 70 screens in the United Arab Emirates. It has passed its peak in these territories, but the UK is still to come.
