A great wrong in the world’s screen awards system is on its way to being righted.  Dev Patel has been nominated no less than sixteen times around the world for a substantial award as best supporting actor for his role in Lion. Meanwhile its child star, Sunny Pawar has been nominated along with him only twice. In this general category, only the Asia Pacific Screen Awards gave him victory, with the Jury Grand Prize for 2016. Sunny Pawar has been nominated six more times in youth categories and won in Ohio.
