Tina Kaufman, veteran of so many AFI and Sydney Film Festival Nights of Glitter, was sternly commanded to stay home and watch the Network Ten broadcast at home. So she did and this is what our great nation saw from it comfa-couch in front of the wide-screen TV.

I’ve dressed up and trotted out to attend many of the AFI/AACTA Award events in recent years, but this year I had to stay home and watch it on TV. I had watched the TV presentation most years as well, but usually recorded and screened later as a back-up to my attendance. This year the telecast was my only experience – and I have to say it wasn’t a great one.
