While American drama dominates ASTRA this year, we will soon see a new temptation on the block as the BBC brings premium content to its massive international octopus. But you have to be local to understand our passion for real estate.

The Most Outstanding Australian Drama category was not large, because subscription TV tends to spend its obligatory 10% in huge chunks on blue chip productions. So Top of the Lake, the co-production with BBC Worldwide, the BBC itself, UK TV (as the local broadcaster) and See-Saw, shot in New Zealand with Jane Campion as such a key figure, went head to head with Wentworth, evoking the spirit of Prisoner with the aid of FremantleMedia Australia.
