On Tuesday 4 August, Seven tried to continue its ancient quarrel with Nine by forcing it to suspend its latest plug-a-hole cooking show, Hotplate, which started on the same day and same time as the latest Seven effort, Restaurant Revolution. It split the audience, which probably meant delighted feedsters swapped back and forth, these shows being notoriously both predictable and ponderous.
