As of Friday, the ABC has not conceded that Michelle Guthrie will be the new head of the ABC to replace Mark Scott in the middle of next year.
Basically, the theory that she will be is a big fat scoop which the ABC must be regretting horribly as it bites its tongue in silence and wonders how the AFR found out.
