Mark Scott pushes for ‘friendly merger’ between SBS and ABC

Mark Scott has been toying with the notion of a merger between the ABC and SBS. Today that proposal became very serious. Outside his bubble, the other stakeholders will not be amused.

Mark Scott, outgoing Managing Director of the ABC, has already been taking flak over his suggestion to Senate Estimates Committee that a merger between the ABC and SBC could be feasible. Two days ago, Steve Aujard, the President of Save Our SBS, took to The New Daily in a blunt attack on the notion.
