SBS was plunged into despair last night as Lee Lin Chin lost her wonderful campaign for the Gold Logie, plagiarised straight from the second act of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Mountain. Already she is plotting her return for next year.

Instead, the nation spoke and the heavens trembled and all those rotten old racist scumbags shivered in their holes as the Gold Logie went to Waleed Aly, who also won Best Presenter. AND he praised his wife Susan Carland from the stage, AND she wore a fetching headscarf in aquamarine, AND she is a teenage Muslim convert AND she gives a dollar to a charity every time she is trolled on Twitter, which has added up to more than $3750 so far.
