With $50m stripped from its budget in just two years, and costs absorbed to date through cuts to the agency itself, the time has come for Screen Australia to cut program allocations. There will be less money for projects. Mason has already told the sector that the documentary pie will contract, although Screen Australia tells us that these cuts are only now about to arrive.
