ABC and Film Vic joined at the hip as deal evolves

Film Victoria makes absolutely sure of $80m of the national production cake for television and online through a revamped deal with the ABC which provides an extra $10m to the sector.

The State government of Victoria has announced a new initiative with the ABC, to be known as the Victorian Content Initiative, which will be responsible for round $80m worth of television production over the next two years. The next series of Dr Blake’s Mysteries, along with new eight part drama series Newton’s Law are already in the works.
