Screen Forever 2016: Kid’s TV at a regulatory cross-road

If you’re a fan of children’s television, you might like what you’re seeing right now. ‘I actually think we are making some of the best children’s television that we’ve ever made in Australia,’ said Jenny Buckland, CEO of the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) in a session called ‘Children’s of the Future’ at this year’s Screen Forever conference. ‘Shows like Little Lunch, Nowhere Boys, Dance Academy’ –  these are shows that are perhaps more widely seen than had been seen in children’s programs in the past.’
