Cate Shortland is packing her winter socks to head to Sundance late January to accompany Berlin Syndrome, written by Shaun Grant  from a book by Melanie Joosten and produced by Polly Staniford.

Cate Shortland directed Somersault in 2004, and the underrated Lore in 2012, which first took her to a story set in Germany, working with local actors to explore the physical and existential havoc at the end of WW2.
