Australian Cinema Pioneers – honouring eighty years of veterans.. some of whom worked in the State Theatre, Sydney

“I was really shocked when I got the letter and I had to sit down. I was flabbergasted, basically.”

Jenny Ward was being nominated by the NSW branch of the Association of Australian Cinema Pioneers as their pioneer of the year.  She is a devoted member, and a long standing sound editor with film credits on most of the big Sydney films over the last twenty years.  Besides three AFI awards, she was part of the crew which took an Oscar for Best Sound for King Kong.
