Oscars 2017 – who to watch out for

Which categories get an Australian film tragic’s heart racing for Oscars 2017? Can any of the Hacksaw Ridge, Lion and Tanna nominees win?

Which improbable Oscar victory would have me galloping uncontrollably around a room full of astonished people? Tanna, of course.  

The sound team behind Hacksaw Ridge already have the sweetest prize of all. At the specialist US Motion Picture Sound Editors Awards last Sunday, they won the English language feature categories for Dialogue/ADR and FX/Foley. The supervising editors were Andy Wright and Robert Mackenzie.
