The Golden Globes list is out and both Lion and Hacksaw Ridge have been nominated. Remember, this is a precursor to the Oscars. 

Nobody takes the organisation behind the Globes too seriously, but it is a list, and it covers the field, and it gets publicity so it fits the addiction trail for the glory tragics. What we affectionately call ‘The Globs Organisatio’n is the creation of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, whose ways of selecting members remain mysterious.
