Manager, Strategic Policy and Industry Insights

Screen Australia is the Commonwealth Government’s primary agency for supporting Australian screen projects, practitioners and businesses. We support projects of scale and ambition, distinct local stories told with strong creative voices and risk-taking content for all platforms.

We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced and talented industry professional to join ourStrategic Policy and Industry Insights team for a 12-month parental leave cover.

Working in consultation with the COO, you will be responsible for developing and executing Screen Australia’s strategic policy priorities and research projects over the 12-month period. You will lead the team to leverage its data sets, analysis and strategic insights through efficient, timely and direct avenues and drive delivery of targeted policy papers, speeches and briefing documents.

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background managing complex policy, research and statistical analysis combined with knowledge of the structures of the Australian film, television and interactive media industries. You will also have people management experience, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to build positive and constructive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
