Weave Movement Theatre is seeking nominations from interested parties with experience in the arts and/or non-for-profit sector, to take up a position on our Board of Directors.
We currently have 3 positions available and are specifically looking for people with skills and experience in one or all of the following areas:
What does the Weave Board do?
The Board takes a hands-on role in supporting the Artistic Director to run the company, through attending Board meetings and participation in one of three subcommittees (Governance, Marketing, Finance). The Board has responsibilities for governance and strategic planning, as well as networking and advocating for Weave with the arts and disability sectors and more broadly, when required.
A position on our Board is a voluntary role within the organisation, central to our corporate governance and the steering of the organisation. Board members are expected to attend Weave showings, performances or other public events, advocate for Weave, and participate in 4 Board meetings throughout the year, in addition to participating in subcommittee meetings and offering additional support in the areas of their expertise when required.
