Best news of the week? David Stratton presides over ten wonderful Kurosawa films which will run at the Sydney Film Festival. Some of them will be on 35mm via The Japan Foundation. Because SFF is collaborating with ACMI, it will run in Melbourne from May 25 to June 8, when it starts in Sydney and then moves to the NFSA in Canberra from June 14-30. The pictures cover his whole career, with most of the biggies on view. [Where is Red Beard? Dodescaden?] I know..
