Flinders University struggle over research in drama and screen

The venerable drama course at Flinders University is being restructured to remove its research side to practical courses. Educators are not amused.

It is pretty noticeable that good tertiary education in film, television and digital media makes a substantial difference to the capacity of states to support a local screen industry. The community needs practical education, a critical and ideas-driven context, and pure research into change.
