The major achievement awards for the Australian Production Design Guild in 2016 contained the essence of joy and sadness.

Dr George Miller, always a strong supporter of the visual crafts, combined with guild President George Liddle to present the Cameron Cresswell Award for Outstanding Contribution to Design in honour of Norma Moriceau and Janet Patterson, both of whom died in the last few months.
