About the Course
BECOME A PRODUCTION ACCOUNTANT
This two-day, intensive workshop delivered completely online in a Zoom Video virtual classroom introduces the specialised skills of film and television production accounting to those with little accounting experience. You will explore the tasks and requirements of a production accountant during pre-production, shoot and post-production. Taught by experts from Moneypenny Accounting, with industry guests.
The course will be delivered over two days in 4 x 3 hour Zoom sessions (don’t worry you’ll get a tea break in the middle of each session, and a long lunch break). There’ll be additional reading supplies which you can do offline.
Pre-production: this includes an outline of the scope of the job as well as the profile of a good production accountant
Production: an overview of processing accounts payable, payroll, petty cash, purchase orders along with working relationships
Post production: an outline of tasks and requirements for post-production such as reconciliations, balance sheet finalisation, handovers, audit and more
