About the Course
In this course, delivered over 12 weeks, you will learn knowledge and skills to prepare you for a career as a Production Accountant for film and screen content production.
You will become familiar with and learn how to apply accounting technologies and workflows while developing a strong understanding of the stages of productions and their financial reporting obligations and requirements. You’ll gain specialised skills to work as an assistant production accountant with the aim to fast track to a career to production accounting, or be immediately able to be a production accountant on a low budget production.
- Gain an understanding of the financial requirements and reconciliation at each stage of production and an understanding of compliance requirements
- Skill up in payroll, accounts payable, petty cash, cost reporting and funding reporting as it relates to screen production
- As well as a thorough understanding of the role of the production accountant in the production of a project, you’ll gain skills and knowledge complimentary to production management, producing and/or screen business.
