The Blue Heeler Film Festival is open for 2019 submissions

The Blue Heeler Film Festival is open for 2019 submissions. Do you think you have what it takes to create the winning short film?

Entries close October 6th 2019.

If you're in need of inspiration, aim to explore aspects of rural life.

We have amazing prizes on offer with the chance for you to win the beloved Gold Bluey Award and up to $10,000.

Launched by the Muswellbrook Shire Council in 2013, the Blue Heeler Film Festival has annually offered cultural opportunities to the Upper Hunter.

Going into it's 7th year, the festival has evolved and allowed nationwide entries to celebrate the talented filmmakers from across Australia and showcase the regions' beauty to visitors.

The annual short film festival will be held on 19 October within the outdoor area at the Upper Hunter Innovation Precinct, adjacent to Muswellbrook Library, Lower Hill St. There will be food stalls and live entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
