AIDC’s Leading Lights program is dedicated to creating a more inclusive and diverse screen industry. Designed to enable early career, Indigenous, and/or Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) non-fiction practitioners to attend AIDC for the first time, the program assists industry newcomers to establish themselves as part of Australia’s screen community.
The Leading Lights program is supported by donations to AIDC’s Leading Lights fund. Since launching the fund in 2018, 102 Leading Lights recipients have attended AIDC. This is all thanks to the generous donations of 62 Australian screen organisations whose contributions have supported the next generation of non-fiction practitioners to build their networks and participate in professional development opportunities.
This year, in recognition of the hardship facing our sector, AIDC is matching every donation enabling not one – but two – new practitioners to experience AIDC 2021.
Want to donate to the Leading Lights fund? To make a donation at any time, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org, AIDC Partnerships and Industry Development Manager.
Applications for the Leading Lights program are now open until 23:59 AEDT Sunday 17 January 2021.
