The Financial Review Group (FRG), Australia`s pre-eminent business publication house, is offering a rare and invaluable opportunity to work with Australia`s most respected journalists. We`re seeking an energetic and ambitious Video Editor to join the Multimedia team based in Pyrmont, Sydney.

You will be responsible for delivering high quality video that meets FRG editorial and commercial objectives, from timely news stories and interviews for The Australian Financial Review, to feature packages for our events and magazine titles.

The successful candidate must have experience in:

* operating a broadcast standard video camera;
* setting up high quality lighting and audio equipment;
* editing professional and compelling video;
* creating motion graphics; and
* conducting a video shoot including directing and coaching talent.

Initiative, versatility, creativity, good communication and interpersonal skills are important in this role. You should be highly organised, can deliver on tight deadlines and work well both in a team and autonomously.

Desirables:

* operating in a television studio;
* experience in online video content including encoding and publishing;
* experience operating in live broadcast;
* ability to direct external contractors/freelancers;
* experience in using a DSLR to produce both high quality stills and video content;
* working in a business journalism environment;
* experience with Adobe Premiere; and familiarity with both PC and Mac based computer systems.
