For over a year, Emo The Musical looked like the usual low budget high dream stuff-up that drives Australian filmmakers mad. 

Lee Matthews and Neil Triffett made a proof-of-concept short, which ran at Berlin and won  a Crystal Bear Special Mention.  There was a lot of goodwill.
