Announced on December 18 as a kind of Christmas present, Sweet Country races forward as one of eight indigenous films at Sundance, selected from around the world. It will run out of competition as part of the Spotlight program, described as ‘a tribute to the cinema we love from throughout the past year’. It includes Israeli feature Foxtrot, Euro-Zambian I am Not a Witch and The Death of Stalin, all of which have already gained significant international momentum.
