Box Office 7 May 2017 – pondering the fate of a pork pie

Emo The Musical is in previews, and is nosing about on nine screens to take $5,394. Ditto Whiteley for $6485 on two screens.

Out in the big world Beauty and the Beast is now at number seven and has taken $47m in seven weeks. Disney is really in clover because Guardians of the Galaxy 2 has done half that in two weeks though the per screen average is at $7845 because it is on 634 screens, already down 71. The Fate of the Furious is at number four after four weeks, down to 292 screens from 426, at 43181/screen. $27.4m altogether.
